Live from the Shabby Nest....It's Fruuuuuuuuuugal Friiiiiiiiiday!
Welcome to this week's Frugal Friday! Lot's of great stuff last week...but before I get into my Frugal Round-up I wanted to thank all those who gave me your input on the white vs. gray sofa cover dilemma. I'm in agreement with you all that gray seems to be the way to go...not that I don't love the white, I do, but I was leaning toward the gray, and it was nice to have my feelings validated! Mwah!
Now for the Frugal Round-up...
First up, Homeroad shared her simple and wonderful driftwood towel rack. This is frugal ingenuity at it's best!
Next, Loving Life shared her pretty Craigslist table and chairs revamp. Love the fresh new look!
Addicted 2 Decorating shared her pretty, beachy gallery wall. Lovin' those walls too!
Finally, Belle and Sparrow shared her gorgeous bath remodel. You know I'm lovin' that gray!
Now it's your turn...
You know "da rules"...

Frugal Friday~
Welcome to this week's Frugal Friday! First, I want to thank everyone for the birthday love this week! You all made my birthday lovely!
Next, I have to be a bit of a Debbie Downer...which I hate to do on the blog. But, I have something that needs addressing about the Frugal Friday linky party.
Most of you that link up are wonderful about sticking to "the rules". But there are a few who aren't. I've been pretty lenient about letting those posts remain up because there weren't very many, but I've noticed that there seem to be more and more of them. Because I want Frugal Friday to be a place of inspiration for my readers, I feel like I finally have to address the problem.
First, if the post you want to link to the party is really nothing more than a glorified advertisement (for your shop, your own link party, or just your blog), I will remove it. Second, if your post has nothing to do with DIYs, decorating, entertaining, recipes, etc. please refrain from posting it. Frugal Friday posts should inspire my readers with things they can do themselves or give them ideas for projects. This is not a forum to discuss your personal feelings about things. Neither is it a place to link up your vacation pics etc. Those things are great, but they aren't for this party.
Please also use common courtesy and link back to The Shabby Nest. I will not remove your post if it doesn't link back, but not linking back shows a lack of blog etiquette. Okay, 'nuff said. I really hate to be negative at all, but since Frugal Friday is such a fun place to visit, I want to keep it that way. I know you all understand.
Soooo, now that I'm off my soap box, here are a few of my favorite posts from last week for this week's Frugal Round-up...
First up, I Design shared her FABULOUS stone wall. I just love this! Such great texture and movement.
Next, My Hydrangea Home shared her pretty laundry room reno. This room would almost make doing laundry enjoyable...almost. ;-)
Clean & Scentsible shared her cute and workable Kitchen Command Center.
Finally, Dwelling Room Interiors shared a great Aged Metal Letter tutorial. Love these!!
Now it's your turn...

Frugal Friday~
Welcome to this week's edition of Frugal Friday. I want to first thank you all for your sweet thoughts and prayers on behalf of Mr. Two. His surgery was a success and he is home and resting comfortably. (Mostly comforably I should say.) And I am exhausted. I think I was running on pure adrenaline today. Such a relief to have the surgery over. whew!
Now on to my frugal round-up from last week.
First up, Fab Rehab Creations shared her be.au.ti.ful pair of rehabbed chairs. I simply adore them!
Next, The Sunset Lane shared her fabulous bathroom rehab. The before-to-after really is a jaw-dropper.
Abby's Paperie Garden shared her Paper Bag Pretties. These little outfits are so charming...it's really hard to believe they're made of paper bags from the hardware store!
Finally, A Creative Beginning shared her pretty, spring mantle. I just love all the textures and the subtle color scheme...just lovely!

And in an effort to get Frugal Friday up as quickly as possible, I'm just going to post without my Frugal Roundup for now. Look for it on Sunday!

Frugal Friday~
Welcome to this week's edition of Frugal Friday! I'm always happy to see Frugal Friday roll around because I simply do not have enough on my to-do list and I need the inspiration. Ha! But seriously, I do love to browse through all the links and I do usually add projects to my to-do list. Much to the chagrin of the hubby. LOL!
Here's my frugal round-up from last week's party...
First up, Finding Home Online shared a beautiful kitchen redo. I soooo love white cabinetry (and fabulous photo styling). mmmmmmmmm...good stuff.
Ivy Cottage shared a Z Gallery Mirror Art Knock-off. Seriously cool, this one...and for less than 1/3 of the price!
Speckled Dog shared a fun take on a gallery wall using corbels, shelves and frames. Very Suzanne Kasler.
Finally, Live Laugh Photograph shared a PB Kids wall art knock off. So simple...so pretty!

Frugal Friday~
Welcome to this week's edition of Frugal Friday! So, who's getting up early (or in my case staying up REALLY late) to watch the royal wedding?
Okay, that really has nothing to do with my Frugal Round-up, I'm just throwing the question out there cuz that's how I roll. ;-)
So without further wedding-related procrastination, here's my Frugal Round-up for this week.
Liz Marie shared her very clever coffee filter lampshade. Too cute for words.

Less That Perfect Life of Bliss shared her lovely French Buffet makeover. I especially liked her "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" style post. So fun.

School Daze shared a scavenged outdoor table that I just love. This is frugality in all its glory.

And finally, Evolution of Style shared her powder room makeover. Loving this stencilled wall.

Now it's your turn! You know "da rules!"

Frugal Friday~
Welcome to this week's edition of Frugal Friday. Can you feel it?? Are you excited for the frugal goodness??
First up on my frugal round-up this week...
Life at Fire Lake Camp. Check out this FABULOUS hanging bed. One of these days I'm going to have a hanging bed. Love. it.

I am so impressed by this kitchen at The Vintage Farmhouse. Talk about frugal decorating and blooming where you are planted. I'll say it again, SO IMPRESSED.

I've seen a lot of benches made from cribs in my time...but I love this one from a Diamond in the Stuff...wouldn't know it was a crib, if you weren't told.

Finally, these sweet easter pillows from Midwestern Sewing Girl make me happy. Just like she said, cute but not too cute.

Now it's your turn! You know "da rules!"

Frugal Friday~
Welcome to this week's Frugal Friday featuring a super-sized, double edition of my Frugal Round-up!
Since I was on vacay last week and didn't do a round-up...this week I'm featuring my faves from last week AND the week before!
What fun I had going through all the fabulous posts!! Here are a few of my favorites from two weeks ago...

First up, That's My Letter shared this pretty chair makeover...love the pleated detail on the seat!

Next, as the mother of a HUGE Harry Potter fan (actually 4 huge Harry Potter fans) I was amazed at this Harry Potter birthday party shared by Alison's Wonder Scraporium. Allison is one dedicated mother that's all I have to say. :-)

It was love at first sight when I saw this craft room by Clean & Scentsible.

Finally, Natalie at Johnny in a Dress shared her darling gallery wall. Love all the colors and the mismatched frames.
And here are a few of my favorites from last week...

Decor Chick shared her pretty spring mantel. Love. love. love.

I heart this shabby chic kitchen makeover from Shabby French Cottage.

The talented ladies at Lemon Tree Creations shared a tutorial on how to make these darling book page eggs...if you hurry, you can still make some before the Easter bunny comes to town.

Finally, I loved this living room makeover by I Like It! I Love It! (I look at that rug everytime I'm in Target...)

But I just HAD to share this pretty white guest room with you from Hello Lovely Inc. Very simple, tres chic!

Frugal Friday~
Welcome to this week's edition of Frugal Friday! I must admit, today was a rough day. I had a migraine ALL day. But I did manage to get my Frugal Round-up together. And you'll be glad I did. I hope so anyway. Because did I mention I had a migraine ALL day? Oh, I did? Okay. Then...I guess I better just share those links with you... First up, Twice Lovely shared this darling damask dresser. (Lovin' the alliteration there, huh?) This dresser would look perfect in my gray and white master bedroom...I'm just sayin'.
Next, Counting Our Blessings shared her $40 mudroom makeover. Love. it. Seriously...$40 never looked so good.
