23 Marina is a residential skyscraper that is currently under construction in Dubai and is being built by the Hiranandani Group based in Mumbai, India. The tower is set to have 90 floors and will rise to 395 m (1,296 ft). When this supertall is complete, it will be the world's second-tallest all-residential building after the Princess Tower located 300 m (1,000 feet) away.[3] The tower will have 57 swimming pools when completed, and each duplex in the tower will come equipped with its own private elevator.[3] The building and eight elevators,[clarification needed] while upon completion the tower will be composed of 291 apartments.[4]
The building was 79 per cent sold before construction started.[5] The raft was completed on April 30, 2007.[6]
In June, 2011 23 Marina topped out and became the second tallest building in the city and the tallest residential building in the world.[7] The handing over of the apartments will commence in August, 2011.
