This is not EB3 vs EB2, this is about filthy, demeaning language being used on public forums to put a class of skilled workers down.
You call consultants "sleazy and body-shopped".
You call EB3 third class.
You call EB3 dumb.
If EB3 were to leave today, you EB2s will have no jobs left. EB3s will take away all the jobs with them overseas and take your too! After that you can preach this swinging philosophy of yours!

They want to charge $8500 for every renewal . I have a better idea here , make H1 valid for 3 months instead of 3 years, More money for these guys.
All of these guys are competing give amnesty at the same punishing employers who play by the rules.

I have been victim on more than 1 occasion for each of above tactics. Each time its annoyance ( writing letter. nothing gets done online), fees charged and increased blood pressure.
Unfortunately switching costs are high due to time taken to open new accounts and there is no guarantee that others are any better.

There are 3 bills in congress that will reduce the backlog in EB3. Thats quite an achievement because no matter what bright ideas we might have in this forum, getting the representatives in congress to adopt the "language" for the bills is very hard.
So, lets take advantage of what we have in our plate right now. We need the support of CHC members. So call them. And also call your local representatives.

Did you consider using "atlas america" and other bunch of travel insurance that advertise themselves as PPO? I am wondering if anyone has expericence dealing with them regarding claims. I purchased that recently for my parents since it had 100/0 or 90/10 coverage.
Anyone has experience going to hospital using these insurance?
Hi I am a physician in Oregon and my parents are visiting too in July. I called Kaiser regarding this, and this is what I was told.
1. they can get insurance since Kaiser does not need an SSN for the application.
2. Every Plan has a deductible $, an out of pocket maximum $, and a co-insurance $ amount.
So,
Plan A: Deductible 2500, Co-insurance 22% of all inpatient cost upto max of $22,000.
Plan B: Deductible 6000, Co-insurance 50% of all inpatient cost upto max of $50,000.
Essentially none of these plans are a 'good deal'. But remember its easier to pay back a loan of 22k - 50k than to pay back 100-200k.
Also since Kaiser is an HMO, and has its own facilities in the west coast and Hawaii, 'accepting insurance' is not a problem.

Yes, I'm on H-1B but I prudently avoided having any significant financial or personal ties in this country, because I knew this day would come.
So if something happens, no qualms about returning to India after 10 yrs of studying and working in the US. A person with skills will get a position anywhere in the world and succeed.
