You are right... you should not submit documents with your LC first submission. In my case, they asked for some documents after my submisission(what it's called Audit); one of them was the Ad which they were not satisfied with it, so they Denied my case. However we appealed sending the whole Ad page making them change the case back to 'In Process'.
If you are still around, I just wanted to let you know that my PERM labor got approved on May 1st. It was filed on Oct 31st. No audit. Looking at your signature, looks like they also approved your LC. Congratulations!

i also find it disturbing that USCIS is trying to define its own definition of employer-employee relationship. As long as a company pays a person, that person is employee. They have no right to demand that there needs to be immediate supervisor from same company onsite or that company needs to provide the itinerary for employee.
I know job market is bad, but hunting down H1b's is not going to make it better.

Well if it is clearly mentioned in the offer letter that Employer will cover the GC cost, then isnt the employer supposed to pay for it irrespective of when the labor was filed. It was filed in 2006.
Btw, i am on AOS if that is what was meant from my legal status..

The employer can change the contents of the offer, as long as it does not affect the job functions. GC is just a by-product of the job offer. Since you no longer work for the employer, you do not have any basis for recouping the costs. If you are in AOS status, it requires that there by an underlying immigrant petition by an employer. In your case, the employer on your petition no longer employs you, and therefore, if you go by the book, you are not in legal status. Rather than try to get money from your old employer, I'd suggest that you look for an employer who will take over your GC process. If you keep pestering your prior employer, they can revoke your I-140, which then invalidates your EAD and your I-485 application. So tread with care.

In employment-based immigration, an I140 is an immigrant petition according to the law. So most likely INS will determinate one must work for 3 years before the I140 is filed. Many people think that an immigrant petition means filing for I485, but I don't think that the case. I140 is the immigrant petition.

Receipt numbers are worthless in my case. My application is pending in the local service center and i see the status message from Aug 2004. After that I was scheduled an interview, I did FP, I attended an interview, got stuck in the stupid name check, took 2-3 INFOPASS appointments.

I think was just in anxiety !!!. My wife recieved FP notice around 5 days after I recieved. We both have appointment on same day and same time.
So bottom line even though it is frustrating , I think the best solution is to just wait :)

I did 3 Years Diploma in Computer Science after 10+2(Non Medical) from India and I have about 16 years of experience in IT. I am thinking of using this education to complete my Bachelors here in US. I would like to know what would my education equate to US Education.
I need an Idea how many courses I would have to take to complete the Bachelors? Please share any tips that would help me take less number of courses.It's not easy with kids.

well.. i guess try your best. the cause here is worth 70 mile trip, if need be. take the trips.. most probably you would need to do only one blood work.. so go for it.
