You can also go to your local immigration office and talk to an IO in person and show him all the proofs and press release from USCIS website.
They will be able to pull up your case and update the system with the details and make it as acceptable.

Congressional Reply says that the applicant is pending completion of background check. Previous congressional reply was that the name check is completed.
AILA is not getting any response from USCIS as per the lawyer.

- 2 Congressional checks revealed 2 different answers

I am sure you would have called customer service and after not getting satisfactory response, pursued other options

Has anybody changed from Attorney to No Attorney? G-28 form has instructions on how to change an attorney, but there is nothing to cancel it altogether.
I've done it. Well, basically my attorney sent a notice to the USCIS, but I think you can do it too by sending a simple letter to the Service Center. There is no form for that as far as I know.

My lawyer also confirmed that a person on H1 can use AP for travel and can continue to work for the same employer with H1 and has to extend the H1 to come back to H1 status and to continue to work on H1.
I had asked Ron Gotcher on his forum the same question.....below is what he had to say obout it.......
You should be ok......just keep renewing your documents.

Don't worry about an advance parole I-94 expiring. There is no penalty if you overstay beyond the period authorized on an advance parole I-94. I don't know why they put an end date on those. There is no way to extend them other than leaving the US and re-entering. More to the point, there can't do anything if your overstay.

Yes file the G-28 forms as well..thats what i did too..
I didn't file G-28 form since I was filing myself. Isn't G-28 only required if some one else is representing you?
I've got the receipt notices for EAD as well. Will see what happens next.

I filed AOS during July 07 fiasco. It has been more than 15 months since the first fingerprint but I have not yet received 2nd fingerprint notice. I noticed a SLUD in May/09 but no notice. Anybody else out there who filed in July but don't have second fingerprint notice yet?

I-485 was filed with Nebraska but transfered to texas service center.
Now my I-485 is pending with Texas service center.

Well in case you are TOO NAIVE let me tell you...
If you divorce in US , you can get an ex-partite judgment in your favor probably because your wife cannot challenge the divorce but When you re marry , you can re marry ONLY in US. The minute you land in India that re-marriage is considered illegal and your relationship with your 2nd spouse in US considered - bigamous. Bi gam y is not allowed in Hinduism .
If you prev wife finds out she can sue you and do many more things in India to make life the hell for you .

I don't have words to show my gratitude and appreciation for IV team.
On July 2nd, I was so upset. I did not have a clue of what is going to happen.
Then I came across IV. I joined it as I was joining any forum remotely related to immigration issues.
Logiclife is right, in the beginning it's difficult to realize how important IV is. But as time passed I realized the strength of IV.
When employers, attorney, doctors all were busy making money out of our misery, dedicated core members and others in IV were preparing to take our cause forward and to fight till we got the justice.
Today, And I am glad to be a part of it...
I am with you guys for just 15 days, but I feel empowered.
Today, I was exuberant, and I don't think this would have been possible without so much effort, unity, perseverance, and enthusiasm in our group.
I am going to be a lifetime member and contributor to the cause of IV family.
I run my family in US and understand it's impossible to maintain a family and make progress in the target areas without proper money flow.
To help in that area, I am making first time $500 contribution and then $20 per month.

That has happened to me too. It's ok. I looked at the reciept notice and the date is the original reciept date not the one mentioned in update. Don't worry. If you are really concerned call your lawyer.

It is upto you...you can intimate them for job changes...or wait for USCIS come back to you...they usually send you RFE...if you want details about how to intimate USCIS, please take a look at below link...somebody got GC after invoking AC21...so it is upto you. My friend's wife got a job. company didn't ask for ead card so far. she filed the employment applicaiton where they asked her if she is a citizen or green card, she filled everything correct, they made an offer and did the background check, she is supposed to start in 2 weeks.
Question, does she need to disclose about EAD now or wait until start give the information while filling I-9 Form. Does employeer right to not hire people on EAD?

They will ask for it when you fill the I-9 form on first day of joining. Make sure to bring it with you.

Their site does not list "Retrogression" as an issue faced by Indians in EB catagory.
I was urging members to contact any of the indian organizations listed as links to get support for our cause. These organizations are either formed by groups of professionals in a occupation or by regional groups from india. We have already got support from Indian Physician association and it helped us a lot when we went to meet lawmakers or spoke with the media. Likewise if other members could make individual efforts, it will be greatly appreciated.

I had applied for my EAD renewal from Nebraska on 6/10 and got the card production ordered mail on 7/8. So your renewal should hopefully come through before your current EAD expires
